Cookie Policy

This policy covers two types of local data storage: cookies used by the Ezly webapp at getezly.com, and chrome.storage.local used by the Ezly Chrome extension. They're different technologies, and we explain both below.

• Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're used by the webapp only
• chrome.storage.local is a browser storage API used by the Chrome extension to save data on your device. It's not a cookie
• The Chrome extension doesn't set or read any cookies

These cookies are required for the Ezly webapp to work. You can't opt out of them without losing core functionality.

• Authentication and session management: keeps you signed in as you navigate the webapp
• Security tokens and CSRF protection: prevents unauthorized actions on your behalf

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Ezly webapp. These cookies help us improve the service.

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage and engagement metrics
• Performance monitoring and error tracking
• All analytics data is anonymized after 90 days
• No analytics cookies are set by the Chrome extension

These cookies remember your settings so you don't have to set them every time you visit.

• Language and locale preferences (English, French, German)
• Theme selection (light or dark mode)
• Dashboard layout and display options

A small number of cookies are set by third-party services we use to run the webapp.

• Stripe: sets cookies during checkout and payment for secure payment handling
• Google Analytics: sets cookies to track anonymized webapp usage (not used in the extension)
• No advertising or behavioral tracking cookies are used anywhere in Ezly

The Ezly Chrome extension doesn't use cookies. Instead, it uses the chrome.storage.local API to store data directly on your device. This data doesn't leave your browser unless you request AI assistance.

• Conversation history (ezly_chat_map): your messages and AI responses, organized by the URL of the platform conversation. Includes message content, role (you or AI), timestamps, active persona, selected tone, deal temperature stage, and saved chat reference
• Persona cache (ezly_personas_cache): a local copy of your persona list, fetched from the Ezly API and refreshed each session to reduce redundant API calls
• Quick reply cache (ezly_quick_replies_cache): a local copy of your saved quick replies, fetched from the Ezly API and refreshed each session
• All extension local storage is cleared when you log out of Ezly. You can also clear it manually at any time

You have full control over both webapp cookies and extension storage.

• Webapp cookies: use your browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies from getezly.com. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in
• Extension storage: go to Chrome Settings, then Extensions, then Ezly, and select "Clear data" to remove all locally stored extension data. Or remove the extension entirely
• Logging out of Ezly in the extension clears all cached data (personas, quick replies, and conversation history)
